I try to support all of the local ones, The Soul Ole, The Right Track and the new City Club. It's great these guys are still promoting soul nights.

Which Was Your Favourite Venue In The Seventies?
Nationally the Central Club in Leeds was fantastic for atmosphere, down in a basement and similar to The Twisted Wheel with a capacity of about 300 people.

Also, the small room at The Wirrina will always be special to me, known locally as The Carousel Room, with a 500 capacity and home of the very first all-nighter at the Wirrina Complex.

found a stamped promo copy of Thelma Lindsey's - Prepared To Love You at a
record fare. It was in a box labelled Northern Soul Pressings $5 Each. I asked
the dealer what was Northern Soul and what was a pressing. Anyway, I told him my
girlfriend was called Thelma Lindsay and how I thought it would be nice to give
her a record with her name on it.
You can picture the situation and haggling...

Definately Lambretta. I had a beautful Li150 in pale blue and cream and wrote it off going to Soul Bowl for some records in 1973
